Stay on Agile Octopus or switch?

I'm currently on Agile Octopus electricity tariff which is capped at 35p kWh with a 21p standing charge. Is it worth moving to standard variable or should I stick with Agile? It's fixed until June 2023 but I can exit with no fees.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Stay where you are, odds are the new rates will be a bout the same as your cap for kWh and probably higher standing charge, so no obvious reason to change.
We should know more details soon and can confirm then.

  • Thank you. I will keep it as it is for now.

    Probably best staying:

    New rate will be:

The average unit price for dual fuel customers paying by direct debit will be limited to 34.0p/kWh for electricity and 10.3p/kWh for gas, inclusive of VAT, from 1 October.

Average standing charges will remain in line with the levels set by Ofgem for the default tariff cap from 1 October, at 46p per day for electricity and 28p per day for gas, for a typical dual fuel customer paying by direct debit.
