michaels said:Does anyone have the 'reverse engineering' calc we used to use to convert from the £x cap to the unit rates as it sounds like we can still use this to work out the new unit rates if the SC is not changing. Thanks
If you want to assume a 50/50 split:
£1250 electricity cap - £165 standing charge = £1085 electricity cost for 2900 kWh so 37.4p per kWh
£1250 gas cap - £100 standing charge = £1150 gas cost for 12000 kWh so 9.6p per kWh
Modify by however much you disagree with each.3 -

Gas 9.85p
Electric 37.46p is my guess
My standing charges are £296 a year, hopefully these drop at some point.1 -

edit: For example at the moment in the April cap you have variations such as:
North West = £933.79 gas and £974.11 electricity (49% gas)
Mersey = £936.39 gas and £1038.84 electricity (47% gas)
or in the October cap:
North West = £1785.25 gas and £1665.67 electricity (52% gas)
Mersey = £1787.09 gas and £1758.23 electricity (50% gas)0 -

Of course I am on a fix where that is less for gas but more for electric - I wonder if I can keep the electric fix and move to SVR for gas....I think....1
