MTD making tax digital sole trader

Hi, 

I know that VAT registered businesses with a turnover of 85k have to be using MTD. 

But now were in 2022, what about sole traders not VAT registered with a turnover of less that 85k or any other cap?

When (if at all) will every business have to use MTD in the coming years?

Does anyone have a good link for clear information?

Been searching google, but haven't found any clear info so far.

You should already have signed up to MTD for VAT, as using other methods for VAT registered businesses below the VAT registration limit has ceased. See:

im not VAT registered. Should have made that clear, im asking "But now were in 2022, what about sole traders not VAT registered with a turnover of less that 85k or any other cap?"

If you mean MTD for ITSA, from 6 April 2024.

ok so thats MTD for Income Tax Self Assessment ( ITSA ) if gross income is more that 10k, thanks found that now.

HMRC expects some commercial software producers to provide a free software option, but it is likely to lack all but the basic functionality. HMRC is not providing free software. It is too early to expect what you are looking for.
