Combined hi-lo/dusk-to-dawn and PIR for outside light

We have outside lights with separate sensors that combines a dusk-to-dawn photocell and a PIR. The idea being that at dusk, the lamp comes on at a dimmed level so that folk can see where the front door is - and then as someone approaches door the lamp goes up to full power, so you can actually see what you are doing.

Have had these down the years, and they have always been temperamental - in fact the one at the side of the house now only operates as a PIR - and I've needed to replace them a couple of times.

The one at the front of the house has now 'gone' but it seems these units are not made any more - you can buy stand-alone photocells, and stand-alone PIRs but not a combined unit.

Could I buy one of each, and wire them up so that the PIR over-rides the photocell, and turns the light on full when someone approaches? If so, any clues on how I would wire it up?
