Well I was thinking more about having a savings account with another provider which could feed the money into my dozen current accounts at the correct time.

I suspect if this ever happened then we would lose free banking though....

In my case those debit card transactions are money that I'm sending somewhere, but I'd still do it anyway as it's so well paid.

I fully understand and I do take advantage of some banks' benefits and offers and £15 a month is a good return.

Just because I choose to forgo certain deals does not mean that I am critical of those that do take advantage of them.

If everybody had OB, then this should, in theory at least, technically easy to do, and I don't think it would necessarily need to be a chargeable service. But we are a very long way from all savings providers to offer OB.
