Home insurance premiums

Hi,

We are in process of buying our next home.
I tried to get some home insurance comparisons using two comparison websites.

To my surprise, the annual premium of this house came to be higher than expected at £410 annually.
I edit the quotes and changed the address to other houses on the street (some bigger and some smaller) and kept all the other details the same.
Quote of all the other house came between 250 and 310 annually.

What could be the reasons for higher premium for this particular house?
Can there be something the insurance companies know but has not been disclosed to us?

Regards

Could be claims history for the property? Have you had the vendor's answer to the relevant question on the property information form?

Yes, nothing alarming here. Standard replies to all the insurance related questions.
  • Have you checked the flood risk of the property on the environment agency's website? Although I think insurance companies probably use their own data

Hi, no flood risk as this house is on a hill. Also checked quotes for the neighboring properties to this one, so I assume it can not be flood related.

Could be claims history on the house (stored on the CUE database), I don't think that's a standard question on the information forms (prior to the current occupier.)

Yes.. there are some and new. But the next door is exactly same build done by same builder, same year,  albeit little smaller.
