Are you suggesting these prices are they’re likely or projected to be if a freeze is in place?[Deleted User] said:Everything is a guess right now, because nothing has actually been announced so we don't know how they system will work or what numbers & assumptions will be used.
Roughly speaking, it looks like a £2500 cap, split equally between fuels, with standing charge at the Apr 1 rate (although the Oct 1 rate is basically the same), would come out to a 10p/kWh Gas and 35p/kWh Electricity tariff.0 -
That's a very rough guess at what the projected rates would be under most people's understanding of Liz's freeze.konn1ch1ha said:

Lots of assumptions and guesses in there though, so treat as roughly as they deserve.1 -
Yes, but the usual dates are May or October: December 2019 was an anomaly, because it was only called due to Johnson's failure to get his Brexit proposals passed.The_Green_Hornet said:

As I posted on the other thread
You also might like to consider staying with UW but moving to their variable tariff. Because you are taking the other services you would get a 5% discount on the cap plus whatever government help is coming. The question with that though is would UW waive the exit fee?

Even so, January 2025 is the latest by law the next general election can be held.macman said:
