A couple of Windows 11 questions.

I have just taken delivery of a new laptop and am now discovering the wonders of Windows 11! and have a couple of questions.
1. How can I disable the requests for BitLocker Recovery Key which seem to appear every time the system updates?
2. How can I remove the requirement for the PIN every time I start up? My wife and I are the only users so it's not needed?
Any assistance would be appreciated before I tear out what little hair I have left.
I have looked in Google but the instructions don't match the screen options I'm seeing. For BitLocker it suggests Open Control Panel, click "System and Security". On the 'System and Security" page, choose 'BitLocker Drive Encryption". When I go into System & Security no option for Bitlocker appears.

Almost certainly MS accounts considering the way it gets rammed down your throat in Windows 11 setup/sysprep I would have thought.

MS Accounts as there was no way of setting the computer up without logging in to Microsoft.

I've turned off encryption on the hard drive, but when I go to accounts sign in options. then into PIN, 'Remove this sign in option' is greyed out.

Getting rid of PIN is a good idea. I get a lot of calls from people saying "Microsoft says my PIN has been invalidated due to security changes." and forgot they ever had a password.0

Just a thought before I remove the requirement for a PIN. If I remove it will the system demand some other form of verification? I just want to be able to do the same as I do on Windows10. That is click on the user screen and go straight in.

I really don't see why a PIN is such a problem ... it's only (a minimum of) 4 key presses, which is really easy if you have a numeric keypad. Do you both have problems remembering your debit/credit card PINs?
I'm not 100% sure, but if you disable the PIN requirement then you'll still need your password as you're logging in to your MS account ... unless you create a local account and use that.
