Octopus Tracker

Once the price cap freeze comes in what are the implications of continuing to use tracker, should I revert to another plan or stick with it?Going to have to wait a little to see exactly what measures are brought in...The answer will also depend on exactly which version of the Tracker tariff you are on...

There are no exit fees, so you can move to Octopus Flexible (SVT) without penalty.
The assumption is that everyone will want to move to the newly frozen SVT, but we'll know in 24 hours. No free lunch, and no free laptop

But no version of Tracker is cheaper than the current April SVT.
I'm on V1, and the freeze would have to be a long way above SVT to make it worth remaining on Tracker.
The freeze is assumed to be between £1971 and £2100. Alternatively, it could be set to £2500, and the £400 rebate retained.
We don't know, but it's got to be within that range. No free lunch, and no free laptop

These rates work out cheaper for me than current flexible Octopus in view of my ultra low usagemacman said:But no version of Tracker is cheaper than the current April SVT.

We don't know, but it's got to be within that range.Depends if you are talking about gas or electricity and also you have to factor in the standing charge. At £2500 the cap would equate to around 10p/35p gas/electricity...

I consider myself very frugal with my electricity usage. Sadly the same can't be said of my gas. But even so, I rarely get my electric down to less than 2kwh per day. I'm amazed at how low yours is. If you've any tips to share they would be most welcome.bristolleedsfan said:
