I'm hoping that exit fees for moving from a fix to the 'new capped rate' will be waived and then I won't need to worry about UW trying to wriggle out of their 30 day peace of mind promise.Gonna wait to see what Truss says tomorrow, switch accordingly, and point to UW at their 30 day clause to not deny is cancelling.0

Someone I know works for UW and they've said their CEO has said if the cap is frozen then all those that have fixed recently will be able to switch to their SVR "IF" it offers better value to the customer.Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
Make £2024 in 2024...0 -
And they still have to pay for the additional services they had to take out?1

Just switched tariff with UW to a very competitive one.Worth considering before any announcement is made.0

Me too. That is why this "you can change your energy contract later" sound like a trap,
If you don't cancel all three now you can change energy, but you are stuck with the others.1 -
What does your terms and condition say.
Will be annoying if you cannot cancel within the colling off period but wait to hear the announcement tomorrow.
Many will be in a similar situation.0 -

The idiots on the phone are saying it now can’t be done as the switch has already happened and it’s only day 7 of the cooling off period and one of them told me that the cooling off period doesn’t apply to energythey are being deliberately misleading and I’ll be raising a formal complaint about it.
Ive also used their cancellation form and I’ll be posting it recorded delivery today.0 -
You also might like to consider staying with UW but moving to their variable tariff. Because you are taking the other services you would get a 5% discount on the cap plus whatever government help is coming. The question with that though is would UW waive the exit fee?0
