We have a 14 year old who needs a current account. They have a savings account with Co-operative but I can't find anywhere on their site that provides a current account to someone that young.

We went with Nationwide as it was one of the few which allowed for their debit cards to be used with Apple / Google pay at that age.1

That's who my daugther is with, she has a FlexOne account. It does all she wants including letting her use her debit card with Apple Pay, and the application can be done online if the child has a passport so you don't have the hassle of going to a branch.

I opened a Santander 1-2-3 Mini junior account for my son. He took over responsibility for running it at some point (sure it’s in the account Ts&Cs somewhere). It wasn’t used for much by way of savings, but that option is there.
He was able to convert it fairly easily into a 1-2-3 Student account last month ready to start university shortly.Arch1 -
