Does anyone know from experience ?..   
If I downgrade my club lloyds current account to a normal (classic) current account, will it retain the same account number ?   
Any problems downgrading using the online facility ?

All details are retained. No problems downgrading in online banking, it's done in seconds. Same if you want to upgrade again at a later stage.

Of course. And you can select a new one if you upgrade again in future.
