iPhones & Apple watches

Regards "many have analogue watches" - depends what group of people you're looking at.
If you're looking at a bunch of 70 year olds then I'd say that's probably accurate.
If we're talking teenagers, 20 year olds, I'd be very surprised if that was the case.
And in my work I need a watch that gives seconds. At home it's not so important, it's just a preference. My Galaxy Watch can do it no problem, there's loads of choice, but if you look at the right channels and accuracy is important to you then the Galaxy Watch isn't so great anyway. Annoyingly (to me at the moment at least) it's the Apple Watch that is overall best in terms of accuracy.
Anyway, it looks like there's very little choice in terms of seconds display. Surprising really.
There is limited choice but not no choice.

There is the X-Large face with digital seconds, first photo is without seconds0

If they dont have a smart watch and do wear a watch its almost always analogue... can't remember the last non-smart digital watch I've seen other than the occasional hipster with the classic Cassio

I'm not going to say you're right or wrong as I don't know nor do I actually care really because it's as I said - pointless. It doesn't matter whether every other person on the planet wants an analogue watch face or a digital with no seconds watch face because I want one with seconds. And that is what matters (to me).

Hmm, bit poopy.
Well, it seems the choice is the choice. Limited but as has been said - not nothing.
If I went down this road then it'd have to be best of a bad bunch for work & something maybe looking a bit better outside of work.

Just a couple of points as a long term Apple Watch 6 user.Battery life, Apple are very realistic with their 18 hours. Mine lasts 48 hours easily but depends on usage. If I have the screen permanently lit, spend an hour on a telephone call and use it to track 8 hours of activity with GPS then yes it will only last about 18 hours. Just sat on my wrist getting notifications and the occasional time check then easily 48 hours.Doesn’t really matter anyway because I put it on charge when I wake up and get a shower. By the time I’m dressed and ready to leave for work it is usually back up to 90%+ so I never have a battery life issue. As for watch faces, I get that you don’t want analogue and that’s ok but the design behind using analogue allows the screen to display much more information. With just 3 slim fingers (hour minute second) then the rest of the screen is clear for 9 other “complications” as Apple call them which I’ve customised to display:
Shortcut to activities
Weather
Next calendar item
Day /date
Mini digital time
Heart stats
Activity stats
Timer / Countdown
Battery life
If you need seconds for your work, should your employer be providing you with the equipment rather than you paying for a smart watch?0 -

Technically speaking, I don't "need" in the literal sense. I don't even actually need a watch. My employer would be more than happy me being there for every minute under the sun (& moon) because they're one of these life is work, work is life types which is fine in itself but they insist on everyone else having the same mentality & get aggressive and can't understand when the majority of people have a work to live rather than a live to work mentality. Numerous times I've had "all you want to do is go home (at home time)" barked at me. Well yes because the last thing I want to do after being up 12-13 hours for a 11-12 hour stint at work is do MORE hours.
Rant over.
Since you're an Apple Watch user, you may (or may not) be interested in one of the few channels I rate for tech reviews:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPqtfC70QTU&t
Depends if you're bothered about sleep tracking but it looks like Apple have just sorted themselves out massively.0
