TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “SKY –AR - VALUE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN – ON-AIR T&C’S – SEPT 2022” (the “Competition”).

 

 

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail. 

 

 

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS	PRE REGISTRATION ON-AIR COMPETITION    Entries are restricted to one entry per person.   Entry is available via the following routes: a)      https://planetradio.co.uk/absolute-radio/competitions/ Entrants must pre-register their interest by answering the Q&A and submitting their details online.  Online entry is free.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	ON-AIR COMPETITION Pre-Registration In total, there will be five (5) winners of the Competition, however more than five entrants will be shortlisted to win. Winning the competition depends if the given answer to the on-air competition is guessed correctly.  To be shortlisted to win, the entrant must successfully answer the question on the online entry form: “Which Sky bundle would you like to win”; there is no correct answer, but the entrant must select between TV / Mobile / Broadband and then correctly enter their Name, Email Address and Phone Number. Shortlisted entrants will be randomly selected by electronic draw between Friday 9th September and Thursday 15th September 2022.  On-Air    The shortlisted entrants will be called by a member of the production team to check their availability for a pre-recorded call.    If the shortlisted entrant is contacted but does not respond to the initial call, or is not available for the pre-recorded call (dates and times are at the disclosure of the Production team), the Absolute Radio Production team has the right to select a different entrant from the pool of pre-judged entries. If the shortlisted entrant is not willing to come to air to play the game (and adhere to the rules of “Section 3. Miscellaneous”) in order to accept the Prize, they will forfeit the opportunity and the Prize.  The premise of the on-air game is that the entrant will be given three statements, of which they have to correctly guess the correct one.  Being called during the entry period does not mean that the entrant has won, and they will only win once they have answered the on-air question correctly and thus told they are the winner by the Presenter on-air. If the entrant does not guess the answer correctly they will not be named a winner or receive the Prize. The Production team is within their right to select another player from the pool of randomly selected entrants until they find winner.  There will be one winner of the competition per day, announced during the Dave Berry Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio on 12th / 13th/ 14th / 15th / 16th September 2022 between the hours of 06:00 and 10:00.
3. ENTRY PERIOD	Entries must be submitted during the following entry period: Start Date and End Date. From 00:00 Wednesday 7th September 2022 (Start Date) to 23:59 Thursday 15th September 2022 (End Date).  Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid. Winner Announcement. The winning person’s first name and hometown will be available upon request when the competition ends by emailing Win@bauermedia.co.uk.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.  Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms. If you or any other person at your household has won a prize valued at £500 or more on any Bauer brand in the past 6 months, you nor they are not eligible to enter or win this competition. 5. THE PRIZE

ON-AIR COMPETITION    ANNEX 1: SKY OBLIGATORY TERMS The Promoter shall administer the Competition and allocate the Prize as follows and shall ensure that the Competition Terms and Conditions shall contain terms that give effect to the Prize Conditions set out below.  The Promoter shall ensure that all entrants to the competition are notified of and accept the Prize Conditions before entering the Competition and again before accepting a Prize.   The Competition shall open on 07.09.2022 and close on 16.09.2022. Online pre-registration required.The entry mechanic is as follows: Entrants will be required to pre-register on a bespoke entry page on the station website. They will select their preferred prize bundle and once daily during the Absolute Radio breakfast show (Monday 12th – Friday 16th September inclusive), a randomly selected pre-registered entrant will be brought to air to take part in the specified true/false quiz in order to win their selected prize package.   This promotion is open to residents of the UK aged 18 years or over only. Proof of age may be required.  The Competition is not open to employees (or family members of employees) of any Sky UK Limited (“Sky”), companies associated with the Promotion and all affiliates of such companies.  The Promoter shall allow one entry per household only. One entry per household. Entries sent in through agents, third parties, websites or multiple accounts will be disqualified. Entries that contain any sexual, offensive, inappropriate or defamatory content will be disqualified. Late, incomplete or otherwise ineligible entries will also be disqualified. The Promoter reserves the right to not award prizes if qualifying criteria is not met and the right to select replacement entry into the competition element of the promotion.   5 winners will be selected by a random computer generated draw to take part in the on-air compeititon, on or around each morning of the competition (Monday 12th– Friday 16th September inclusive) from all eligible entries received during the Promotional Period. If winners have Disney+ or Spotify via Sky, these will not automatically transfer to Sky Glass and winners will need to sign up directly to each via Apps Marketplace on Sky Glass. c)      For 12 months, the winner will get their Sky TV subscriptions via their Sky Glass TV for no charge.  Sky Ultimate TV via Sky Glass is provided on a monthly rolling contract and can be cancelled at any time on 31 days’ notice.  Ending your Sky Ultimate TV subscription will end your offer period.  After your 12 months offer period, all Sky TV subscriptions will become chargeable at their then standard price, unless you change or cancel your package, giving Sky at least 31 days’ notice. Standard subscription prices may change. Please refer to www.sky.com for current pricing. d)      You must be over 18 and resident in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands or Isle of Mann to win this Prize. e)      The Prize does not include:                                                      i.     A broadband subscription.  All content via Sky Glass is streamed so you must have broadband of at least 35Mpbs to use all the elements of this Prize.                                                     ii.     Sky Box Office, Sky Store purchases/rentals, Stand-alone Premium Channels, or pay-per-view services and events all of which if offered via Sky Glass will be chargeable at the current standard price. f)       Sky Stream puck and the Whole Home subscription will allow you to watch Sky TV on another TV with a compatible HDMI port.  This is included as part of the Prize.  After 12 months, the Whole Home subscription will be charged at the then standard price unless you cancel it.  The Whole Home subscription is provided on a monthly rolling contract and can be cancelled at any time on 31 days’ notice. Cancelling your Whole Home subscription will mean your Sky Stream puck will no longer stream any content. g)      Prices, programmes/channels are subject to change.  h)      If you do not activate Sky Glass within 14 days of receiving Sky Glass, we will automatically activate it for you and your Sky TV subscriptions will start from activation. i)       Winners must redeem the prize within a year. Winners who are in a current pay-TV contract with either Sky or another provider may defer their Prize for a maximum of 12 months from the date of winning.  If a winner does not redeem his/her Prize within 12 months from the date of winning, this could result in loss of the Prize.  If the winner has a previous uncleared debt with Sky the winner will not be able to take up the Prize until this debt has been fully cleared.    j)       There is no cash alternative to the Prize or any element thereof and unless agreed otherwise in writing the Prize is non-refundable and non-transferable. k)      Sky reserves the right to refuse or withdraw the Prize if a winner or a party authorised by the winner to act on their behalf, threatens or abuses a Staff employee or otherwise conducts themselves in a manner that Sky reasonably regards as inappropriate, offensive or unlawful. l)       Prize winner will own the Sky Glass TV and Sky Stream Puck. Separate Terms and Conditions apply to Sky Glass and Sky TV subscriptions. m)    The winner will need to set up a Sky Glass account either online at sky.com or via the MySky app in order to manage their account.  Email address required for account login and for Sky to keep in touch about the service. n)      Sky Glass delivery currently average a 28-day waiting period o)      Prize winner has a choice of 5 x Sky Glass colour finishes: Ceramic White, Ocean Blue, Racing Green, Dusky Pink and Anthracite. 1. MISCELLANEOUS.

 

 

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call. 
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route. 
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition. 
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition.
