No-one can answer your question until Liz announces the plan. At the moment it’s still all speculation. There’s no exit charge on your tariff so sitting on it for a while longer isn’t going to make a huge amount of difference.

When does your fix start? Mine starts in October, so I'm going to leave it as is for now and see what happens over the coming weeks.
Nothing is confirmed yet, the previously confirmed £400 may even be withdrawn !
But I will say that those are particularly high rates, so it's worth keeping your eye on the news.

Curious, which supplier are you with? Usually when you agree a fix it's from that date rather than forward dating.

If you’re already on a fix tariff and it’s coming to an end then the new tariff normally doesn’t start until the day after the old one ends even if you choose a new fixed tariff in advance. That’s how it’s always worked for me (with E.ON).

Eon Next have been offering a start date from when a current fix ends rather than on the date the fix is agreed.

Sainsbury's Energy/EON, I said (or rather I insisted) that I didn't want the fix to start until October and after speaking with their manager they agreed. It was August when I spoke to them.
