Do all suppliers have to offer svr even if fixed ? (Excluding good energy, ecotricity etc?

All suppliers, excluding the 3 green suppliers, must have a capped SVR. There is no compulsion for a supplier to take on new customers. If you do not renew a fixed tariff when it ends you automatically default to the capped SVR, you cannot be placed on a more expensive fix without your express permission. Suppliers only have to inform you of the prices of "similar" tariffs to your existing, so their expensive fixed options.

Thanks molerat. Is it the case though if i am with octopus on their tracker that if I asked them they would have to legally put me back on the svr?0

The one question I have is whether all suppliers are obliged to allow any customer to choose to end a fixed term agreement early and revert to the SVT if they wish to (paying any stipulated exit fees)?0

Yes, that’s a contractual agreement that you can choose to pay the fee and come out of the food.0
