Changing supplier

My understanding is that all suppliers have similar SVT's and that they do not accept new customers because it will not be profitable for them.
Customer support at my supplier has been atrocious, and I would dearly love to move away from them.
Will the result of the price increases in October mean that the suppliers will still have similar SVT's but that it will now be profitable for them to accept new customers?

As things stands, forum members have reported some success with switching to the SVT with EDF and Octopus - but you may have to try more than once. Of course, things may change after Thursday, but probably not quickly if they do.

Isn't the major change going to be in October when the price rises happen?

The fact you don't know what is happening today with the announcement of the price freeze is surprising. I wonder how many others are blind to this news?
