Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
I'm helping my friend. Personally, I have it on my phone and my PC (web-based, in a browser), but in this case on a PC you cannot make and receive calls.
Use WhatsApp on Web, Desktop, and other devices by linking them to your phone. You can use up to four linked devices and one phone at a time.
It was only on the phone so far. As soon as I register it on the new tablet it logs me off on the phone and vice versa.Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Desktop and phone/tablet. Not phone and tablet.Technically a tablet is just a phone without the call functionality. You could just get to WhatsApp web which may do the same job, albeit it in not quite the same way.And yes you can make calls on the desktop version - no different to Teams/Zoom/whatever else, need a camera and microphone. Just can't do group calls.1

Can I?
If I google for 'watsapp web', the firs result directs me to https://www.whatsapp.com/ where I see three links- and the last one, understandably, doesn't work. The first one is to Google Play.
The second result -- directs me to https://sites.google.com/onlinewebhelp.com/webwhatsapp/ , but for some reason the QR code there doesn't work - nothing happens when I try to read it with WatsApp app on my phone.web.whatsapp.com | Whatsapp login - Google Sites
Is it just me?
Also, I tried entering web.watsapp.com directly into the address bar and this didn't work either - the resul is absolutely weird (in both Chrome and Brave browsers).
Any ideas?

https://www.whatsapp.com/ ? Works fine on your tablet? There is no any QR code on mine (both browsers) and the button in the top row doesn't do anything

I can't replicate the 'weird' results - probably I mistyped something. However now I land on the same https://www.whatsapp.com/ in both browsers - and tapping the button in the top row doesn't change anything.grumbler said:

Scan the QR code in my post, it should lead you to the login on your device.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

If I scan your code, my phone says "Couldn't link device. Try again later". And this is good as I think the code is unique for each device and if it worked I would have linked your PC to my WatsApp.0 -
OK, seems it doesn't work on Tablets or Secondary phones at present only on PC.......Which is why it's not working for you.
