I'm seeing a lot of "nobody told you to fix" posts on here today.

The truth is, for many people who "chose" to fix in the last couple of months it was an act of necessity, not a choice. All the noises from the (mostly absent) government and from both leadership contenders was that the price cap would remain, and that any additional "handouts" would be either non-existent or targeted to those most in need. We acted because to NOT fix would have meant running out of money or being cut off.

Please don't treat these kind of decisions lightly. They were certainly not taken lightly.

We had noticed that feelings are running high. A timely moment to remind everyone of our forum rules, including:
It's OK to disagree, but be civil, keep your tone friendly and don't be aggressive or make personal attacks on other members of the community. Before you post, think, 'could what I have written be read as unfriendly and upset someone?' and/or, 'how might this be perceived/make someone feel?'.

We want this Forum to be a safe and encouraging place for people to share their experience and information relating to all things MoneySaving.
