Hi, I got a PCN for overstaying by 8 seconds? Do i just appeal and mention that the time taken to leave and enter takes longer than 8 seconds or is there something else i should do?

Can you show us the front and back of the letter you've received, redacted of personal data, the VRM of your vehicle and any reference numbers, but leave times and dates showing. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

What happened when you complained to the store manager and/or CEO, and your MP? That is always Plan A.
If that fails, then appeal using the template in blue text from the NEWBIES Announcement at the top of the main forum page. Send it unaltered, from the keeper.
Save everything else for PoPLA.

I cannot believe you got a PCN for an eight second overstay - it is simply not possible.
Please show us the PCN.
Which Tesco?1 -
I agree.
A PCN for a few seconds' overstay is impossible. That is not what this PCN was issued for. You have misunderstood,
But of course (having read 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST' as we ask all new posters to do before posting on this board) everyone already knows that Horizon parking charges are 100% winnable on appeal anyway. And the NEWBIES thread tells you why that is, and how to do it.
So, there is no need to do anything else than do what the NEWBIES thread already advises.
Don't go firing off any appeal or complaint that blabs about who was driving.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
