Energy price cap freeze? what to do if you've just fixed!?

Hi all,
With Truss apparantly about to announce a freeze on energy prices what should we do if we've just fixed?
We've just purchased our first house and set up energy bills for the first time (we weren't responsible for them at our previous home our employer was.. long story).
We've just fixed with Utility Warehouse for 12 months at £405 (£350 gas and elec + £55 internet and boiler cover - the bolt ons were necessary to get the fix).
Am I right in thinking we may now be paying more than we need to? If so, i believe we are protected by a 14 day cooling off period in which case should we cancel it adn stick with the previous home owners supplier?
Thank
James

You might be paying more than you need to every time you take a fix. That's part of the risk of fixing.
Nobody has announced anything.
Many other people have asked the same question already today. Look for another thread with over 140 posts.
Sounds like you're still in the cooling off, but will you still be whenever actual changes are announced rather than just the rumours?0 -
Hi,you would automatically be on the previous home owners supplier when you moved in.Did you contact them and provide readings?
