Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, damp underfoot, have had some rain during the night, thunderstorms forecast for today - we'll see.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was egg, bacon, sausage, beans and mushrooms. Tonight will be LO's from Sundays roast, with fresh gravy and some more veg.
Work yesterday was ok in the morning but then became quite busy in the afternoon, we'll see how it goes today.
Keep safe and well x

Afternoon / morning all. It's almost 3pm here, I've just come back from lunch with SIL, middle nephew and his girlfriend. I was at the same place yesterday with youngest nephew but learnt from my mistake and didn't order from the lunch menu - the portions are huge! We're all going out for a final family dinner tonight (second one of three 😀) though I did have a wee glass of wine. This morning I was up early to bake a cake. I'm invited to a neighbour who has his German mother staying for a while, a cake is necessary. Mind you, without my usual recipe, tools or cake tin I'm not sure that it's my best but I've made the effort. The day has been warm and dull with a lovely little breeze. I'm staying in my cabin for now as the four young children are coming to say goodbye to their uncle and it'll all be manic for a while. My youngest nephew is a joy to watch, he deals with his very lively and mostly feral children in a way I deeply admire. His father, my brother, was so remote with them all. He had Asperger's and really had no idea about children. My SIL is nearly a saint as is her youngest. For now I'm going to close my eyes until 4.30pm when I head off to the neighbour's place and a full evening.Sorry I'm not replying to individuals, I am reading along on my iPad albeit with nine hours difference. I hope thst everyone is doing well. Happy Tuesday to all. 🦘🦘12

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Enjoy your dinner Gers, you've had a lot of lovely meals out with your family.
Dry out at the moment but thunder storms forecast for later. We've had a lot of rain lately but also some lovely warm sunshine, yesterday was quite hot.
The troublesome child returns today so we'll see what happens, I'll certainly be keeping my distance.
The cellar has been cleared as much as I can for the spray foam guy, not sure if it's today or tomorrow he's coming, haven't heard from him yet.
I have quite a lot of tomatoes ripening so all my meals are tomato based and I've given a lot away.
Hope everyone's well, take care. XX10 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. GERS I am loving your stories of life with your wonderful family in Oz, I look forward to every episode! It comes across a bit like a soap opera!
CAMELOT I hope the errant child returns with an apology and regrets his behaviour.
A bit of a flying visit from me as DD is picking me and a boot full of stuff up to be transported to our "summer residence" about 9.00. Most stuff is packed but I am leaving the frozen and fridge stuff till the last minute. The frozen stuff needs to stay frozen! Thunderstorms are forecast here too although it's fine at the moment. They are forecast on and off for most of the week. I hope we are not driving in one of them.
As usual I won't have any wifi so my ageing laptop will stay home and you will be sparred my waffle for a week. I shall read along on my phone but replies will be brief thanks to my sausage fingers.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
Wonderful photo @Gers and thanks for all the updates from your trip. I look forward to them every day.
Enjoy your break at the caravan @TravellingAbuela - please send photos of your wildlife too!!
@Camelot - hope the little tyke gives a heartfelt apology today.
I am WFH today and back to my usual role. The 'special project' will continue until told otherwise/or if a new person is chosen to run health and has different views - will see what our new PM decides there.
We've had some rain overnight and are forecast thunder and lightning today. DH and I are at the cinema tonight seeing a documentary by George Ezra - he walked LeJOG last year so I'll be interested to see how he got on. Back to painting tomorrow night in the hallway, least you think we are slacking! Dinner tonight is a new to us SW Mexican chicken recipe.
Have a good day everyone and hugs to all those feeling less than 100%

Morning all
Another storm last night with thunder and lighteniing it was very impressive ! Dry for now but more rain due from 9 this morning and set in for the day.
Two clients coming today and due to the rain we will have a day indoors, I am going to attempt to make salt dough with them and cut them into shapes either little animals or christmas decorations, once dried we will paint them, one of my clients today is a fantastic artist so he should be good at it, hopefully they will enjoy it.
Ive got a hospital appointment this evening, a while ago I noticed a lump in my tummy which is growing bigger by the day, I went to see the Dr who booked me in for an app with a gynaecology consultant who thinks I have a massive fibroid she thinks its one of the biggest she had ever seen, so tonight I have an MRI scan to confirm this is what it is, and if it is its going to be an operation in my near future - its just typical that this has happened right when I have gone self employed but it has to be done !
Something quick for dinner tonight as we will all be in late, naybe bacon and egg or something similar.
TA have a fab break xxx
Gers what a lovely photo, the place looks amazing and I love the visiting Roo's xxx
Camelot I hope you get an apology today at the very least xx
Have good days all xxx9 -
Morning all. We also had heavy rain overnight and it's still overcast outside.
DGS arrives soon for the day. His pre school doesn't start back until next week. We will probably do our usual walk up into town about 10.30am for a pot of tea and a toasted tea cake plus I need to return a library book so can spend some time in there.
This evening I have one of the bridesmaids coming to try on her dress so that will leave me with only one hanging on the rail!
Think I'll do a sausage bake for tonight but trying not to buy too much food as we go away on Friday for a long weekend. Otherwise I'd be making a cake as the tin is empty
Love the photo GERS; brings back lots of memories of our trips over there.
Have a good day everyone.9 -
Hi everyone,
Great photo Gers.
Enjoy your time away TA.
We're hoping to get over to see the new parents and baby before we head off to Yorkshire, then Glasgow tomorrow. Laura and Esben are flying up but we shall have Ziggy so we will drive and drop her off with Steve's sister on the way. We'll probably be back next Monday (possibly Sunday).
Just heard from Chris, so we are going over at lunchtime, we'll take food with us so they don't have to bother. He's in his last few days of paternity leave, he's going to find it very hard to go back.
Better go, I have to get Esben ready for nursery.
Have a good day.9
