My Estimated Usage is Higher Than my Actual - When Should I Submit my Meter Reading?

Hi,
I've been living away from my home for the last 4 months whilst building work was being completed. My energy provider (Outfox the Market) has continued to take my monthly direct debit.
I've checked my actual meter readings and they are below my estimated by circa £300 (at today's rates).
Can someone confirm that I should wait for a few months before submitting, therefore getting the correction under the new price cap and saving money?
Thanks!

It might be worth a try, depends how they apply the refund, they may adjust a previous bill, which means you gain nothing or they may just credit based on the current unit rate for the time, so if it were me I would wait a month.0
