Reducing usage
Taking readings for gas and electric over the last 6 months and comparing to the same period of 2021. The reduction is 15% or £30 monthly When trying to reduce my DD by
this amount the EON system online would only let me reduce the amount by £20 and my a/c is £ 300+ in credit. Why can I only reduce it to £ 189 instead of £ 179.

Why can I only reduce it to £ 189 instead of £ 179.Your use may be 15% down but the cost has doubled (or thereabouts). So, if you reduce it more, you will be paying too little.

If I were you I wouldn't reduce that DD amount at all.0
