Is it cheaper to use electricity at night

It is the same unless you have an economy 7 meter, these give cheaper electric at night and is offset by more expensive during the day."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "2

There are time-of- use tariffs available such as Octopus Agile that offer cheaper electricity when there is unused supply. These tariff require a smart meter as usage us billed in 30 minute chunks.2

I thought the amount was the same regardless of when you use it 🤷♀️It is only cheaper if you have a separate night tariff, like Economy 7. Otherwise, it makes absolutely no difference at this time.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Thanks everyone I’m on a normal variable rate so I’ll just use it as I usually do as it doesn’t seem to make any difference x0
