Legally Free Music

Options
I have been given a new Lenovo Tab M10 HD tablet ,i intend to down load some films from Netflix to watch when travelling on  our next holiday ,i normally take my Sony music player with me to listen too on the sunbed but thinking if i have the tablet i can put music on that .
As i have some CD,s of my own i can download them but would like some additional music BUT legally free ( i do not want to get into trouble )
Also i tend to listen to 60,s and 70,s music as i am an older person :):), if anybody can point me in the right direction it will be appreciated.

You are not wrong. There is a new subscriber offer for Spotify Premium that allows three months free before billing.

    Amazon Prime is similar.

They reckoned when CDs were first announced at that first TED conference that the average person had about 60 LPs worth of music in cassette format, usually recorded from radio/ borrowed records.
IIRC PMs have admitted they've done this.

You're more likely to win the lottery than "get into trouble" for downloading CDs that you already own.  Yes it is "illegal" as such (and you are supposed to buy a new copy for a new device but on the other hand we're supposed to do a lot of things) but worry ye not for your own private use.

Same argument as taping stuff off the radio (or TV).  Technically illegal (particularly if you then keep it for months on end).  But nobody's ever been done for it.  And they never will

We don't have the exemption in  UK copyright law they do in other countries for "backing up" or making copies.  We did for about six months and then it was scrapped.

TL;DR - worry about nothing you've posted about and do what you like with regards to your music.
