Get a cheap plug-in corded phone. It will draw power from the BT line until you get forced to use VOIP. Even then, the power consumption will be minimal.And to save even more money, get rid of the mobile.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Funny you should bring this up, I was round my mother's house yesterday and she has 2 sets of 2 plugged in around the house.
