Why are park homes such a major feature on RightMove. Why can’t they give you a option to filter out such homes when perusing newbuilds.

Look under 'Property Type' and select the ones you are interested in.

I do, but search under bungalow. There are a proliferation of park homes which are not to my taste – seems I have to put up with this quirk.

There are two problems: one is that the Rightmove search functionality is basic and very poor, and the other is that Estate Agents are idiots who are unable to correctly categorise properties (hence the large proportion of non-bungalow properties that come up in a search for bungalows).

I don't think the EAs are idiots - they know exactly how to categorise a property to get the maximum number of views and the most financially eligible views.

It's a generous opinion but I don't really see how showing people searching for a bungalow a house or apartment does anything but give those people a negative view of the EA.

I can understand the flats. Logic is that you are after living on 1 level so both bungalow and flat provide this.
Or that some bungalows have bedrooms upstairs so include houses in your searches.
(I didn't say the logic was good).
May you find your sister soon Helli.
