Ulez parking whilst looking for bathroom

Hi,

I just received a PCN for entering a road whilst entering a road to look for a toilet for my 8 year old daughter. I didn’t even realise it was a ulez Road because the turning I came from was not ulez. I even ended up going back as a stranger told me there was a public toilet close by. Can I appeal this

Personally I think any appeal would be rejected. Even the smallest side turnings in my area are clearly signposted and have cameras (must have cost the relative authorities a fortune to have produced and erected them) and so for that reason alone your appeal is likely to be thrown out. That’s harsh I know, as is the whole ULEZ scheme. Khan threatening to expand to all London Boroughs next year, which would drag me in. My options? Sell a perfectly good car, albeit its diesel, and try to finance the purchase of a qualifying replacement. Or, keep the diesel but never move it for fear of being caught and subjecting myself to the daily charge 😄. No driveway or possibility of having charging post at my home, so EV about of the question.
Given the economic situation you’d think consideration would be given to suspending ULEZ ufn? No. Have you seen how much has been generated so far? It was £40m as at 2019 and here we are thirty months on.

Since we concentrate on parking charge notices from unregulated private parking companies, you would be better off taking this over to our friends on Pepipoo.com as they are the experts on council and police issues.
You will need to sign up on Pepipoo with a non-Hotmail email address before reading the FAQs, then posting both sides of your PCN with your query.
