Hi, I was interested to find this thread but it looks as though it's come to an end. Does anyone know of any other Instant Pot threads to share recipes etc? TIA

I think people still add from time to time, so perhaps you've just caught it sleeping? 😊 I use mine often for yogurt making - it's perfect.

Thanks @Cherryfudge I'll keep an eye on it. I love mine, I also make yoghurt and it's delicious. I use it for stews, rice dishes, pasta dishes, stock etc

I'm sometimes tempted by one though I'm very happy with my old fashioned stove top pressure cooker which is stainless steel and can go in the dishwasher. The thing that stops me is wondering how easy they are to clean particularly if you use it for frying. I had an electric deep fat fryer years ago and could not get rid of the sticky film. I know these are air fryers inter alia but I still wonder whether they would be hard to keep from getting a build up in the crevices

It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

I have a new instant pot - bought it to make yogurt and casseroles. Hubby has died - I don't like yogurt and cooking for one now so it is still in the box.

Oh Florence I'm so sorry. I haven't been keeping up regularly with the Old Style Board so I missed this. My condolences

I've got a PKP but hardly used. Like you I like my stove top stainless steel ones - I have 3 different sizes which all fit the same lid - 3l; 6l and 7l. Can also use them with the same glass lid as normal saucepans. So much more versatile than the PKP.

I'm so sorry to hear this! I didn't know about your DH, but I do remember cooking dinner for you both was a fixture in your life.

Don't give up on the Instant Pot though, it will save you so much time as you start to adjust to your new life 💕

Sorry to hear that @Florenceem, I'm recently on my own too. I use my instant pot regularly and eat one portion then freeze the rest in single portions. It's good to have some meals in the freezer for when you have bad days and just don't feel like cooking. Take care x
