Parking ticket at hermiston gate

Hi received a parking ticket or parking notice from hermiston gate Edinburgh as my partner was park longer than aloud too. Got a parking ticket asking to pay £100 but I ignored it as I was advised to by many people too. But it’s now went up to £170 and I’ve continued to ignore it. Yesterday he received a email from a solicitors it asked for him to enter a few security questions surname and postcode so he could read it he was completely unsure what I was about so entered them. And I was a letter from solicitors about this bloody parking ticket. Now he has entered his details is that now mean we are going to have to pay the ticket as the know her has read it. Stressing about this. Don’t even know how they got his email address. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

As above, read the stickies on the parking section.  But the bottom line is - at the moment at least - there is still no Keeper Liability in Scotland.  If they can't prove who the driver was, they're on a hiding to nothing.

Thank you Iam new to this website, I’ll have a read I would of just keep ignoring it but the as they sent my other half a email and it was confirm if this is you as we didn’t know what the email is about I dunno if now that means they know we have seen it and have to pay 😞

So annoyed he filled that part in and pressed “next” he didn’t realise it was the parking fine people 😞. Then it was too late.

Can't change what's happened, just have a read of the parking section and be guided by the members. 

Edit - I've reported the thread to ask the forum move this to the parking section. It probably won't get picked up until Monday as they don't work weekends.

Do tell how they knew his email address when you say you ignored everything previously !

I know that’s what I find odd I think it’s cause they have access to the dvla data base and when he’s applied for his drivers license renewal they maybe got it off there. It’s all I can think of. So annoying
