Chimney Sweep

Has anyone had a chimney cleaned recently? How much would it be? We're in Scotland.

    I pay £45. He uses a camera first to check for damage before sweeping. I'm in the Midlands.

    £60 in NW England, gave a certificate afterward - suggested this was needed for house insurance - as I'd had a house fire last year, wasn't going to argue!  This one had a camera etc too

    £95 in NW UK - for a log burner with some integral bits need removing before flue can be cleaned. We had one last year £65 but he didn’t know how to address it. He had a camera and a fancy hoover.

    £60 in SW England, but for that he climbs onto the roof and cleans the bird excluder too. (It's a bungalow!)

    May also depend on how many chimneys you’ve got. The landed gentry probably pay a tad more.
