Could you kind MSE'rs check my tariff
I'm getting a bit overwhelmed at the moment- could you kind MSE'rs check this please.
I'm debating to fix for next 12 months. My current annual usage is-
2549 KWH Electric
5071 KWH Gas
Now I WFH, however currently only have single glazed windows but I do have new double glazing units being installed before the end of the month so i'm hoping to reduce my gas usage. Last winter I made the mistake of running a oil filled radiator in the room I was working in so could be for 8 hrs a day on the coldest of days (although its not running all the time) instead of using the central heating to warm the entire flat (2 bed purpose built 1960's-1 as an office and I'm on my own)- I now understand it would have probably been cheaper to turn the heating on so my electric usage could decrease also.
At the October price rises I calculated my usage as -
Electric £1325
Gas £760
Standing Charge £275
Total £2360 (£197pm DD)
I know that this will change again come January and April. My question, BG have offered me this tarrif fixed until Sept 23-

Its Approx. £600 more than Id be paying come January, Im tempted to take it but I need a second opinion. (im hoping with my reduced usage I could still be paying around £2360 per annum so my expected DD come October would be similar.
Appreciate your input and thanks for calming my nerves.

Based on Auxilione prediction from yesterday (today is not yet in the spreadsheet)

The predictions have come down a lot in the last 3 days now. Nobody knows if that will continue, or will go up again. The same exercise based on Cornwall Insights predictions from last Friday would show a saving if you take the fix.
It is money to gamble what you believe will happen.
