Hello all, the weather was better yesterday afternoon and all the bedding/towels were dry by the time we got home. A lovely time was had at DGS's birthday but somehow DGS has wormed his way into staying here tonight so is due this afternoon. I still don't know how that happened 🤔 Good job my freezers and cupboards are full, he's a human hoover, although I did overhear Mr Fix It and DGS talking about having a Chinese takeaway for tonight, so there goes the diet again.
I suppose I'd better sort out the spare bedroom in a mo as it looks like the inside of a clothes shop with all our holiday clothes hanging everywhere. I didn't want to put it away as it has to be out again next week.
MeanMarie lovely to see you posting but I'm sorry about your fall, hope you're on the road to recovery very soon.
Camelot ouchie ! School staff will have to be wearing riot gear soon ! Children ( and adults ) seem to be constantly angry nowadays. We would never dare to say boo to a goose when I was in school, it seemed a gentler time.
TA cheers 🥂to your BFF for her last treatment. I hope everything works out for her. Sorry that you're feeling poorly so here's a gentle hug for you ((( 🧡)))
Blackandgold glad you had a good time at the birthday BBQ.
Scarlet I think nearly everyone is going to be afraid to put the heating on this winter.
Izzy I don't envy you the mess, but I bet your new kitchen will be great. Do they do magic ones with no mess or upheaval ?.
Gers sounds like you're having a fabulous time, enjoy, enjoy.
Take care all

Morning all,
Slept well last night, will get someone to put on my socks so that I can do a bit of walking, physio will be in later so want to show off!
I feel a bit jealous that you are all shopping and cooking etc..... I haven't food shopped since early 2020 and I feel deprived!
Heavy shower earlier, pleasant day now, we are promised thunder storms later and rain for the next 3 days, there is a nice garden here so we won't get out. Visits are confined to 1 person 2 days per week as this is mainly a cancer hospital with just 2 rehab wings.
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.

ROSY you will love your soup maker. I had one bought 2 Christmas's ago and I remember thinking what's wrong with a pan! But after one use of the soup maker my big pan was relegated to the back of the cupboard and not been out since. No need when I can now make a pot of soup in 20 minutes using just a few pennies worth of electric."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8

Morning everyone (just),
I'm in the office today and one of only 3 people on this floor - it's like the Marie Celeste. Last two days on the project so I'll be going back to my perm role on Tuesday. Hope to start day release with Mind w/c 12 Sept all being well.
Good to see you posting @meanmarie but so sorry to hear you've been in the wars. Sending gentle healing hugs x
Great that @TravellingAbuela's bff has her last treatment today. All good wishes to her and enjoy the chocs!
Sorry to hear you were attacked @camelot1001 - I hope you're okay and that the culprit is feeling suitably contrite.
Can empathise with you @IzzyBee - we are all upside down with lounge contents in the home office and kitchen. Only one more alcove to wallpaper and we can move stuff back in. Will have to empty it again in October though when the new floor gets fitted (no availability until 10 Oct!!).
Well done on the house clearance @Nelski - you're doing a great job x
We have SW Chinese sweet and sour pork with noodles this evening. FC tomorrow morning and hoping for another loss, doesn't matter how small, I'll take it!! MIL's birthday tomorrow, so we are paying a fleeting visit for tea and cake as we have a wedding evening reception to go to. We've booked a hotel as it's 1.5 hours drive away and it'll be nice to have a drink or two and stay over.
Have a good day everyone,

Well, it's almost 10.50pm. in Kin Kin and the rain is pouring down, it feels like being at home. 😀 We've had a really lovely family dinner, the place is about 30 minutes away so no-one drank too much...had to keep the designated drivers company.I'm back in my 'cabin' with a bottle of wine. Two of my nephews walk me back down every night 😂 in case I fall, complete with head torch and iPhones. It's very sweet, mostly unnecessary but very welcome tonight as my place is down a grassy slope. They make me feel very cared for but old. Not sure that they understand that I manage on my own despite one new hip and one dodgy hip. It's nice to be looked after for a while, couldn't bear it all the time.Nelski - great work. I know exactly how difficult it is so you have my admiration.DP1 - love the thought of your little one enjoying her drink.
Marie - take care on that walk. I hope you can get home soon.
Izzy - a new kitchen sounds exciting.
TA - well done to your BFF, and same to you for supporting her through it. Brilliant idea about the chocolates.
I'm off to bed now, it's been a long day.

Thanks Gers I appreciate that
Some more stress today, The buyer is turning the screws and needs to complete before 21st. There is fat chance and zero everything will be gone by then. Ive handed it over to the solicitor so that she can deal with it as the date is not solely up to the buyer. If she backs out then fine but I can't do with stress atm.
AHHHHHHHHH!!!6 -
That's just rubbish Nelski 🙁 just when you don't need any more hassle. I'm sure your solicitor will deal with the buyer who should not be contacting you at all. It's now almost 6am and the rain has battered down all night. The cabin roof is corrugated iron, perfect for making a loud noise. 😂 Water tight but acoustic.4
