Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot. Wash load ready to peg out.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was spag bol, use up from the freezer, so a small space created in the freezer but have written a shopping list that hopefully will create more freezer space as using up more supplies from the freezer/store cupboard. Tonight I'm not sure what we'll be having but will sort whilst food shopping this morning. As usual I have the normal "to do" list.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Dry and bright again but I think it's rain tonight and over the weekend. Washing dried outside yesterday so all good in that department.
Interesting day yesterday, two boys fighting in the playground, one really angry when they were split up and decided to punch me on the ear. I don't cry easily but I did then it hurt so much (and the shock I suppose). Anyway, he's excluded for a few days but doubt it will make much difference. Another incident form to fill in!
Hoping everyone is well, hope you get home soon Marie.
Happy Friday, take care. XX11 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's a fine start here, yesterday turned into a nice day after a dodgy start.RedCross I loved your joke yesterday, though I'm a born and bred north east girl!!Happy birthday for yesterday DP1., hope you enjoyed your day. and Nanny, hope you Dgs had a nice day.Gers, glad you're enjoying your holiday. I remember those washing mountains.TA, I bought some thermal leggings last winter, fleece lined. They are so cosy, though tights under trousers can be effective as well. I've just ordered 2 heated throws as well, as we're going to be scared to put the heating on this winter.Hello Marie, how nice to see you posting - but sorry to hear about your accident in the shower.I know I've forgotten people, sorry about that, I'm going to have to start making notes as I read.Hope everyone has as good a day as they can. Take care folks.11

Afternoon folks. What a shocker Camelot! Some children are just out of control - I really do blame the parents. Hope you're set for the yellow weather warning rain tomorrow. 🙁Now that the four small children are away life is much calmer. Last night we all sat round the fire pit, drinking wine or beer and chatting away. Seems that the three brothers sat up well into the wee small hours enjoying each other's company, the whole point of this malarky. 😀Today one brother is working over Zoom, he's a lawyer in Seoul so has some clients to look after. My SIL and I are relaxing in the peace and quiet whilst all the others are at Rainbow Beach. The English contingent leave for home tomorrow (school for the boys starts on Tuesday) so we'll be done to five adults for a few days. The bird noises are so extraordinary, sometimes it sounds like I'm living in a jungle documentary. Then the big kangaroo jumps through the land whilst strange looking birds with huge curved beaks scrabble in the grass. Tonight we're having a big family dinner in Ponoma, a farewell to some.I hope that everyone is doing fine. Happy Friday to all.12

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. A lovely day forecast and then all change tomorrow when heavy rain is forecast for most of next week. I know we need the water but once it starts raining it never knows when to stop!
I was clobbered with a blooming cold and cough yesterday and spent most of the day feeling sorry for myself! This morning my throat feels sore too. I hope it soon passes on.
SCARLET I got my heated throw out of its summer storage yesterday and gave it a trial run. It's working fine but I am wondering if to order another one as a back up in case it suddenly dies on me! We will need them more than ever this winter when we will be loathe to pay for the central heating. I couldn't live without one now.
At last it's hair cut day today! She's coming about 10.00 and it surely needs a good trim as we are about 2/3 weeks late this time. She was childminding her DGC for a week and then away on holiday the following week. It feels so unruly she may need to give me an estimate!!
It's BFF's last chemo session today. They have stopped the last treatment bell ringing now at the hospital as they feel it's unfair on people there who are too ill to go through with it. Instead she has bought all her "supporters" throughout her treatment a box of choccies to open instead. I shall enjoy mine tonight and toast her with chocs! (A glass or two of wine may accompany them!)
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and fed up. MARIE get well soon. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning everyone all kitchen was delivered yesterday for some strange reason I never got any of the promised texts or calls they just turned up at 9 with it but it’s here so my living room is full of boxes but I vaguely know we’re stiff is he starts Monday and it will be finished Friday so next weekend I will get it all put straight. TA that’s good news about your BFF Camelot that’s shocking but one of my sisters is a teacher and she can tell you some tales that would make your hair curl it’s seems a world away from when I was at school when you hardly dare blink .NMLC I’m buying nothing but the essentials this month bread and eggs I hope as I must get some things used up in my freezer you can’t fit a ice cube in it’s that crammed all reduced stuff I might add to tempting. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all; dull and damp looking outside.
I have some towels to hang out so will have to keep a close eye on the weather. We also have a new window cleaner coming today. Apparently he uses smart water(!) so it doesn't streak when it dries so I will watch in amazement I've already undone the side gate for him in case it gets forgotten later.
The bbq yesterday was very good. Lots of food and drink, with the birthday boy running the bbq. I had to leave early to get to Morris practice but DH stayed and apparently there was music, song and dancing in the garden until it got too dark to see.
Probably won't get on here tomorrow as it's Wallingford Bunkfest in Oxfordshire and, as I have to be there at 10.45am, that means an early start on the roads.
Camelot, I despair of some things I hear regarding children in schools. I hope you aren't too badly hurt.
Happy Friday everyone.10 -
Morning all, thanks for starting nmlc- I also made a small space in my freezer yesterday! It's fairly pleasant here atm. I got a load of washing out yesterday even though I only hung it out about 3.Decided to wash the bedding that was stored in the old wardrobe, and threw some away that hadn't been used for ages and had got discoloured. Still looking for stuff to chuck in next doors bin while they're away, she suggested it I hasten to add! DH has finished the big landing cupboard interior- just needs painting, though the doors won't be ready until next week. It'll give me a lot more hanging space, and a section for the ironing board & carpet cleaner. The bedroom is full of displaced stuff now so I sympathise with you Izzy!Camelot, that's awful, hope you get over the shock quickly. It seems to have changed a lot since I stopped working in education, but it is about 15 years now . I don't think missing all that schooling and being kept cooped up due to Covid helped the children either but it doesn't excuse hitting a member of staff!I'm going to cook a big gammon joint today, and then I can use the stock for making soup. I've ordered a soupmaker from Amzwarehouse, it has damaged packaging so was about £10 cheaper. Resisted the idea for ages but it can make it in less than half an hour & blends in the same jug so I wont have to faff around with the blender too ( or wash it )Nelski pleased you feel like you're making headway at Mums.Hope taff's trip is going well, and sounds like yours is Gers.Good your BFF has finished treatment TABye for now, take care x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Its a gorgeous day here which totally contradicts the forecast which says it should be chucking it down.
Good morning so far think Ive managed to sell mums table and chairs I say think because I never count it gone till its actually left the house. Next week I have BHF coming round to collect 3 large units so it really will start to look like progress if they all go.
camelot thats awful that happened in your workplace. Keep an eye on it (which is of course physically impossible) as the ear is very sensitive. Hope you get a full apology by the parents.
Rosy I love gammon need to add to list soon
Bits to do round my house today and a chicken curry for dinner
Have a lovely day all9 -
Morning all
I slept till 9 this morning which must have been needed ! I had a full on day yesterday with my client he was full of energy !
Ive put a wash on this morning which will have to go on the airer as its been raining on and off, I shall take the dogs out this morning and then I need to go to the shop for dog food which I forgot yesterday.

Morning everyone
Thank you so much for yesterday's happy birthday wishes - I had a lovely day.
Spent time with mam and dad in the morning and then went for lunch with DD and little one. We went to a Turkish restaurant - their lunch special was only £10.95 for 2 very generous courses and it was delicious. Little one shared ours and tucked in and was delighted with her glass of apple juice - she loves being allowed to drink what she wants to now.
I'm going down to mam and dads soon to do his banking and a few other jobs and then going into town with mam for lunch - so that will be nice. Dad will be quite happy at home as he has his favourite carer going this afternoon.
Little one will come up later and have a sleepover tonight.
Camelo - ouch - hope you get an apology when he comes back to school - one that sounds like he means it!
Gers - it all sounds wonderful - it's lovely that you've brought the family together.
Better get moving - hope everyone has a good day x10
