We are in the process of making a money claim online, the defendant offered a payment and made it before we rejected it. Mediation failed so it is now going to a hearing. They are asking for the money they paid back, do I need to do this or should we wait and see what happens in court.
They offered £100 but paid £120

How much do they owe?
Can you adjust your money claim to original claim value minus £120?0 -
The invoice was £660, claim is being processed for that amount plus costs and interest.
They have offered the £100 ( £120 ) as settlement but we have rejected that on the court response ?0 -
In the end I sought legal advice. There is no set way to proceed and it will depend on the judge's decision and views. We went with the option of why refund the money when you are taking them to court to get the money0
