De lurking to ask Gers what is the difference between a kangaroo and a kangaroot.
The first is an Australian marsupial and the second is a Geordie stuck in a lift.
Also happy birthday to dp113 -
Happy Birthday DP1 hope you have a lovely day glad you enjoyed your time away
Gers glad you have somewhere to enjoy some peace and quiet among the melee
Ruby hope you get some peace from clients DM One of the things I don't miss is my phone not ringing with work calls During covid I used my own phone for people to call me but let a lot of my regular callers know I was leaving although I have had a couple of calls / texts since I left asking for advice
Nels hope you are doing OK
Cloudy here today DH going to golf later with DBIL so I will sort through another cupboard in the kitchen
Hope everyone has a good day hugs to those who want them

Popping back to wish Dp1 a happy birthday. Also Nan's DGS.
Some blue sky arrived here eventually so the bedding (and other stuff) got washed and is now blowing (but only gently) on the line. Just needs a bit of sun on it now! Xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Hi everyone,
dp1, happy birthday. Are you too young to have watched Skippy - I remember the sounds they made but I'm nearly 10 years older than you.
Laura and Esben came home by train yesterday, the funeral isn't till next Friday and there isn't a lot she can do, it was proving difficult to keep Esben busy and he's become very clingy to her, she has just had a difficult nursery drop off. It must be very confusing for him especially as mummy has been quite upset and he hates to see her upset or hurt.
The new parents are slowly sorting themselves out and Nathaniel is beautiful, even as a biased Nonna.
The cleaner is here doing the bathrooms and floors, I must go and sort the dishwasher and give the kitchen a wipe. I also want to sew as well.
Have a good day.12 -

Happy Birthday DP1 have a lovely day
Back home from mums house
Not a bad couple of days. Electrician came and sorted the bits from the EICR report . Also got rid of some stuff. Getting good with asking people who come to pick up free stuff to take a couple of bags to the charity shops on the way back and thats getting rid of loads. Still a fair bit to do but it's really getting there. Also came home with a HM Shepard's pie and some apple crumble from the next door neighbour so that will be dinner tonight.
Have a good day all9 -
Afternoon all, happy birthday Dp1 and hello to New people since I was last here. I am feeling jealous of you in Brisbane Gers, although as its coming into Autumn there the natives will be feeling the cold! As I was stupid enough to slip in the shower in July and break my tibia where it joins my knee I have been incarcerated in 2 hospitals ever since with a plate and pins in my leg..... got the cumbersome brace off yesterday and can now walk a little accompanied by a carer. I hope to be able to go home in a couple of weeks.
Nice to be back on the daily, missed it but wasn't able to psyche myself up always... last year was a nightmare.
Hugs to all in need of one
