If you are on a fixed tariff until July 2023 your prices don't go up this winter. So put the £400 aside for next year when your fix ends.

You will be than in a better position than most.

I'd go further and say that your usage is incredibly low: barely a third that of the average household. Presumably a very small and well insulated property.

If you take out my EV charging then those numbers are very similar to mine for a 3-bed detached i'm in myself, my yearly figure for 2 years ago pre EV were 1350kWh Elec, 4500kWh Gas for the year.

Although mine is classed as band E so never got the £150 so my only help will be the £400, With the EV my Electric goes up to approx 5000kWh a year.  As of now i can cope ok with the increased bills and am in a far better position than most but if things continue to go up and my mortgage fix which is due to expire November 23 means even me on a decent salary is going to struggle and i've already looked at how much it would cost to get out of my car lease if needs be.

In most cases the only way out of a car leasing deal is to pay off the full amount remaining on the contract. It's not like an HP or PCP deal where you can voluntarily terminate once you have paid 50%.

A two bed mid terrace, always have done all the things that the “experts” are telling everyone to do…. Energy saving light bulbs, turn light off when not in the room, boil kettle only with amount needed, never leave anything on standby, put jeans and a jumper on before flicking the heating on. All very boring but it works!

As you live on your own it is all about your comfort, you don't have to factor in partners or children or pets(maybe you have a pet)

Your energy usage is nice and low but one thing is I don't think jeans are the best at keeping warmth in if you want to go that extra step some good thermal layers could be for you.

At home I have a very cold Mrs, a small cold affected dog and another adult staying for who knows how long(family eh) me I could probably live happily in the Antarctic but we have to settle somewhere in the middle.

Surprisingly it wouldn’t cost me anything right now to just terminate the lease, I’m guessing as Tesla’s are holding value well helps the case.
