Monthly Budget books

Options
Evening all
I’ve been looking for months for a book that suits my needs but really struggling, I like simple but I would also like a book where you can keep a running balance of what’s left in a category, most books that I’ve seen don’t have this option and don’t have a lot of room to do this yourself.
any ideas please?
If you have a written budget book how do you set it out?

  • Clever fox budget books are on Amazon. They’re good but expensive.
  • Forgive me if I've misunderstood your requirements, but wouldn't a simple spreadsheet be an easy answer?  Or even simpler, a good old-fashioned notepad and pen?  In terms of laying it out, just have a separate column (if using a spreadsheet) or page (if using a notepad) for each category.  Start out with your monthly budget, then make a note every time you spend money from that category.  Simples.

Have you looked at something like the emma app? That would be much simpler than having to write stuff down all the time.
