Problem with smoke alarm

I have FireAngel smoke alarm installed in my upstairs hallway, model ST-750, that went off yesterday when I was having a shower, it could've been the shower as the bathroom door was ajar but I've had showers with bathroom door open before and it's the first time the alarm has ever gone off so I'm not so sure, plus the shower wasn't that hot to produce loads of steam and the alarm is supposed to be an optical alarm so shouldn't really be triggered by steam from shower so maybe just a coincidence. The main problem is I can't get it to reset. Apparently once you've pressed the button to silence the alarm it goes into a reset mode for 10 minutes then resets but with this one every 10 minutes the alarm just starts up again. I've had to remove it altogether from it's back plate to disable it.
Anyone else come across this happening and do you think it's now faulty. I've had it for 5 years and the battery warranty is for 10, I'm pretty sure the main unit warranty is for 10 too. I've emailed Fireangel's tech support but haven't had any reply yet. I'm thinking I may as well just go and replace it.

If it is optical, you may find some dust has settled on the sensor. Try blasting it with some compressed air.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -

so I wouldn't bother waiting for tech support to get back.0 -
As it is optical increased moisture levels when you are having shower may have caused moisture to form on lens, as others have said a blast of compressed air or drying with hair dryer may do the trick.0

I had one of mine that would go off during the night. I pulled it off the ceiling so I could sleep. I fixed it by hoovering it out. Been fine since. I had been sanding so must have been dust inside the sensor.
