Utility Alliance Ltd/ Preaction court proceedings

Hi , ive just been contacted via email by a company called Preaction who
 claim i owe Utility Alliance Ltd over £1100 for an unfulfilled energy contract. Has any one else had anything to do with them? This is apparently from over 4 years ago and this is the first i have heard of it! It relates to an energy contract at a property i rented but had left over a year before this contract supposedly came into being

Under the Statute of Limitations, we can all pursued for a debt for up to 6 years (England). Some advice below:

Did you close off the contract with the supplier at the point you vacated the property?

Utility Alliance are energy brokers. That and the word energy contract sounds like business energy contract.

Was the property you rented a shop?

Hi yes same with me... Contract for british gas
