You obviously haven't been looking at the energy forum long, it's mentioned on daily basis!9

Ahhh lovely - another Standing Charges thread, just what's needed!
It's entirely irrelevant to anyone what someone else's standing charges are - either they are on an SVT in which case they will all be much of a muchness, regional differences notwithstanding, or they are on a fix, in which case it's still irrelevant as pretty much no fixes that anyone is on now will still be available to sign up to.
Can you clarify what the point of the thread is, allowing that we've pretty much been seeing a new "I don't understand why the SC is so high" thread every day for the past 4 months at least?
Also - how did you get to that figure?maxmycardagain said:No one says much about standing charges....

is the elephant wearing a cardigan and turning the thermostat down by 1 or 2 degrees? might help to save towards the cost of the standing charge each day in winter if they did.

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.1 -
