Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot. Wash load ready to peg out.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Chicken and salad for dinner last night , we'll have the last of the chicken tonight to clear it up.
Half day working today, but have the normal admin jobs to do.

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's not a bad start here cool, and grey, it might brighten a bit.I've been missing for a few days because we went down to the Midlands to celebrate a family birthday. We had a great time, there were a couple of family members that we hadn't seen since before Covid.I haven't read back yet, so hope everyone is ok.I'm going to the theatre this afternoon with a friend to see "Jer*ey Boys", I'm told that it's very good, so we're looking forward to it. We are going to the matinee performance. That's the main event for me today - hope everyone has a good Wednesday, take care folks.11

Afternoon folks.Strewth! It's been a blazing hot day here, just as well as the forecast for the next few days is awful. My SIL and I did a trip on the Mary Valley Rattler. It's a heritage steam train which goes from Gympie to Anamoor and back. It was so lovely, not least relaxing. On board was a wedding party, the couple got married in an outdoor ceremony at Anamoor and were having their reception at Gympie station - it's an old weatherboard building. When we got back I did a bit of shopping and went to the bank, then we collected the smallest child from daycare. She hates being in car so screamed all the there and all the way back, 25 minutes each way. 😱 She's only two but has the lungs of an opera singer.
All the others are at Australia Zoo, of Steve Irwin fame, so should be having a good time.Nothing much MSE here, sorry but I'm having such a wonderful time so I don't care. Time for belt tightening when I'm back home.Scarlet- your family celebrations sound great, especially after so long. Hope you enjoy the theatre. Now I'm off for a wee nap before the hordes return. Happy Wednesday to all.11 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. This is the first morning it has felt autumn is on the way. Darker and a bit chilly. Oh I hate the thought of winter round the corner.
I lost my "lodger" last night. She went to stay at a friends in readiness for the Rainbow picnic they are going on today. I said to check with DD that it was ok as not up to me to say yay or nay. DD said it was fine as she has stayed with the friend before and she knows they are ok! DD texted later to say her and youngest DGD had gone for a walk along the riverbank last night and when dusk started falling on their way back the otters were out. Great excitement as not seen them before!
It's bus trip and wine 'n dine lunch day today. Only 2 of us as 3rd friend away on another holiday. No doubt we will end up in Skipton again being as it's market day. Apart from lunch I hope not to do any spending, unless I see any too good to miss bargains!
Have a good day if you can folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or fed up. SCARLET enjoy Jersey Boys, I've only ever heard good things about it. DP1 I hope you enjoyed your Everyman visit and the hotel lives up to promise. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning all
Feels very chilly here today I got up in the night to put thicker pyjamas on as I was so cold ! I have out a wash on this morning and it can be hung out as its quite blowy out.
I had three more phone calls from the lads mum yesterday - all ignored, I had blocked her the night before so dont know how it happened must have been a glitch in my phone, turned phone off and on again and re blocked her and nothing since so hopefully its worked now, she has no need at all to phone me there is a duty phone which she needs to ring if she needs anything !
We had a lovely day at the museum yesterday lots of old buildings and crafts, and its where they film the repair shop so we saw that from a distance you are not allowed too close if they are filming, we tried lots of crafts too, it was a lovely day and all my clients joined so we can go again as much as we like, I get in free as a carer.
Onto today same young lad is coming I shall ride my bike up and meet him a the station and he is bringing his ride along scooter it will only take us 10 minited to get back, then I have another young man coming for a trial for a few hours, so I think we will go for a little walk and make a cake.
Chilli for dinner tonight something warmer although it will probably warm up later.
Gers sounds like you are having a blast ! xx
Have good days all xxx9 -

Morning all. Brief visit from me as it's my turn to help at the Community Larder today and I'm still sat here drinking tea!
Chilly the last couple of mornings but the sun is shining now and it should be a fine day.
Yesterday was our day to look after DGS so we walked up into town for elevenses and he ate half of my toasted tea cake. Had a potter around the shops then back home to do jigsaws.
Whilst I'm out today DH is buying some wood stain as we are still deep in preparations for DD's wedding in September. We have an old wooden ladder in the garage that needs to be stained and then DH has a set of 10 horseshoes from the yard, cleaned up and painted, and then they will have the table settings printed to go in each one and be nailed to the ladder. Lots of discussion about how low to put the bottom ones so that we oldies can still see them!
Went to a pub music session in Bedford last night; only 5 of us but we enjoyed getting back together and playing old favourites. The pub was closed for a while but has now changed hands and the new Landlord was very welcoming. 2 ladies were sat outside with glasses of wine and they came in to say they played fiddle and accordion and asked if they could come along next month so that was good.
Must move now. Have a good day everyone.10 -
Hello all, I'm bringing up the rear again ! In my defence I've been out and about since early doors. Firstly visiting the camping place to buy some pink loo, then next door to the garden centre for coffee and a sticky choc orange brownie but we shared it as it was huge. I bought myself a triple pack of gardening gloves which were on offer, I had to throw my pair away yesterday as there weren't many finger tops left and a pair of heat ho*der socks for the winter. We tried to call in Tes*o for some bits but half the car park was cordoned off as they were doing work and it the other spaces were full, so on to Morries, no problems there.
DD is coming up later and we haven't seen each other for a month due to our holidays, then theirs. They got back early this morning and already DGD is going horse riding later, she's absolutely hooked !
I have a wash in the machine and it's sunny but blustery, so I hope it dries.
Take care all
nan xx

Afternoon all - I win the prize for being last on today @nannywindow!!
I'm in the office and having to be a bit sneaky. More DIY last night. Had to repaint the (longest, typical) wall in the lounge as for some reason one half was lighter?? I changed paint pots halfway and it obviously wasn't sufficiently mixed! I then did an hours worth of ironing and cooked kedgeree. Have come into the office for a rest lol!
No DIY tonight as we just need to clean the windows and frames for the shutters fitting tomorrow. Think DH is meeting friends at the pub and I will have a bath, facemask and early night. It's moules et frites for tea, so nice and quick.
Your trip sounds so full of fun @Gers. Really laughed about the lungs on the 2 yo!!
@RedRuby1231 - that mother sounds challenging! Glad you can block her from your personal phone!
@nannywindow I too seem to go through my gardening gloves on one particular finger - so annoying! Managed to pick up a new pair at a car boot sale for £1 - should have got more!
Have a good afternoon/evening all.
