Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, enjoy the short week.
Have a great time taff, safe travels.
Good you have somewhere peaceful to go Gers!
Lovely to hear from you poppy.
Hope everyone had a good bank holiday, we had lovely weather here (until about 9pm when the heavens opened) but sadly had to be at school! Called at the allotment on my way home and picked a bagful of beans and an even bigger bag full of plums - plum jam was made last night but it's set like concrete!
Off on the bus this morning so had better get going. Take care. XX11 -
It's almost 4pm here and getting dark. The morning was dull, early afternoon sunny and then the rain started. Queensland has had abnormal amounts of rain over the past few months, I had hoped that I'd miss that season.Last night we all went out for dinner at a local pub - I say 'local', it was a 25 minute drive each way. Lovely place with an impromptu group of musicians playing banjos and guitars. We all joined in a wee sing-song for a couple of tunes, very jolly.Today I've been peaceful. Everyone's gone for a ferry ride at Noosa, I declined 😀 especially as two of a neighbour's children were going too. Eight children and seven adults are too much for me. I've taken in and folded a huge amount of washing and hung out the next load (which promptly got rained on).I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Tuesday to all.13

Morning all,
Chilly start here but set to be 19 degrees today. I am wearing shorts in readiness! We had a lovely curry meal out with DS1 his gf, DD and DS2 last night. DS2 turned up just as we were ordering pudding as he had to work. Madly saving those pennies for uni, so can't be helped.
DH in Birmingham today and pup is here just for the day. Last week of the 'special project' for me as back to my substantive role next Tuesday.
Will be washing DS2's work uniform today. We finished painting the lounge walls yesterday but in the light of day can see where I changed pots of paint so will have to go over that wall again. Strange as it was exactly the same colour (from the mixing desk) but looks obvious, so more to do in there after work. I will then mask off the paintwork in the hallway and landing for painting there tomorrow and Thursday evenings. Dinner tonight is kedgeree, so fairly quick.
Hope you got off okay @-taff and that your journey is smooth and trouble free.
Have a good day everyone,

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. A beautiful start here and set for the day (allegedly!) Looking at the sky late afternoon yesterday I thought we were in for a right downpour but it never happened.
DGD is eating me out of house and home, I don't know where she puts it all! And the dishwasher is never off. But it's been lovely having her so not complaining. I made a big pot of Bolognese yesterday, some to freeze and the rest to make her an individual Bolognese Bake as she said she is having withdrawal symptoms!
It's my usual Tuesday coffee then lunch meet with BFF today. DGD is coming down on a later bus to join us for lunch just before 12.00 and then meeting a couple of friends straight after. I said I didn't expect her to sit with us for the whole 4 hours listening to us old biddies waffling on!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies or fed up. Take care and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -

Morning
Lovely sunny day again but definitely a bit nippy this morning. Shorts on but a dressing gown over till it warms up.cant believe how quickly the nights are closing in. Funny thing its happened every year of my life but it still comes as a surprise!
Off to mums house today. Could have left it till tomorrow but I have an electrician coming at 8.30 and fighting the morning traffic fills me with dread so going today and will use the time to panic about how much there is still to do. I am getting close to using house clearance now for the last bits. The local BHF will do it but I hear they can be a bit fussy could get rid of the bulk of what's left though then it could be a skip.
Hope all the travellers enjoy their days
Catchup later have a good day

Morning all
Looks to be a nice day, I have three clients today and we are all going out for the day to an open air museum, it has old buildings and crafts and farm animals, I need to pack a picnic for myself and one client as he never has any food in the house, its his mum that kept calling me, I had nine phone calls, three texts and two voicemails in the end! I ended up sending her one text saying that this was my personal number and I was not working that day and to contact the duty desk if it was urgent, and then I blocked her number, turns out that all she wanted to say was that her son had to be home for 4 today, he could have told me that this morning and saved all the calls over my weekend !
Chicken out of the freezer and I will do some chicken and mushroom noodles for dinner, nice and easy !
I mowed the lawn front and back yesterday so it looks a bit tidier out there, next weekend we need to cut the hedge back as the birds will have finished nesting by now.
Taff have a great adventure xxx
Nels good luck today xx
Have good days all xxx12 -
Morning everyone
i had a lovely quiet day yesterday. I painted another bit of fence after lunch - it's taking ages but I can only do it for a short while then my arm aches. Then I sat outside with my Sunday Times.
Little kitten is getting brave and bouncing around everywhere - she's very cute.
I'm going to York this morning and staying overnight...my treat before I go back to work next week. DD and little one are going to stay here with Trixie kitten.
I'm really looking forward to it - I've been to York lots of times but not for a few years. Tonight I'm going to the Everyman cinema which is very close to my hotel to see Where the Crawdads Sing. I've never been to one and it looks very comfy - I think you go to one in Glasgow Gers?
Taff have a great time in Italy
Gers your holiday sounds wonderful....though I hope that's the end of the rain
Nelski good luck with your sorting
Izzybee hope your travellers don't wait too long for a flight home - like you say the people who are getting annoyed aren't going to get home any quicker
TA sounds like you're enjoying your granddaughter's stay
Bellabella pleased the baby shower went well - it's something I've never been to
Coxy well done with all your decorating. My house needs doing - but ow I've got a kitten!
Camelot it must be lovely to have an allotment
Well I better get dressed. It's quite cloudy but I don't want to be too warm later.
hope everyone has a good day x

Hi everyone,
Nelski, well done on nearing the end of your mammoth task.
Ruby, enjoy your day, but grr to the persistent mum.
Izzy, what a nuisance, hopefully the rest of the journey will be smoother.
Bon voyage taff.
Another quiet day in store here. Chris and Crystal had visits from her family all weekend which culminated in her sister with her 5 year old and 3 year old yesterday. I think they found it quite tiring so I told them that I would go across if they needed me but otherwise to rest and recuperate. I am making them a pork and broccoli lasagne which is one of their favourite things but I don't make it often because it's a faff. I'll use the pork skin to make mexican chicharrones. I find crackling very hard to get right as well as very hard on the teeth whereas the chicharrones are crispy but lighter and just as tasty.
I also want to crack on with the quilt I am making, Steve is golfing so he won't be home till at least 2 and I am enjoying having the house to myself.
Have a good day.12
