House insurance recommendations for a large house (>10 rooms) & non-brick construction

Fair enough, it might just be a case of me acclimatising to the costs of upgrading to a larger property. :-) Always knew it'd be more expensive than the little 3-bed place we had before, just wasn't sure if the prior quote we had was the going rate or over the odds due to our lack of shopping around last year. Managing expectations and all that. Thanks!
