Leasing a property and what Act applies

  • There is nothing in principle wrong with their agreement.

My friend has gone to a solicitor and the solicitor has stated their agreement is wrong.

Which would be a red flag, but she’s had several other charities/social housing providers contact her and they have all given similar agreements with break clauses etc.

I don’t want my friend to throw more money at this solicitor when their knowledge of the law seems at odds with everyone else.

To make a further spanner in the works, we have another friend who works in property who says they often let out to companies for 6 months who do the same sort of thing.

Hence why I want someone else to tell me what law is relevant.

I suspect the Solicitor is correct and they are best qualified to know.
However you will no doubt be able to find some people on the internet who will give you the answer you are looking for.
