Need to calculate usage
Good Morning
I need to caluclate my annual usage to get quotes from supplier (Currently with Split the Bills and they won't give me annual usage or renew contracts for another year)
I've taken 2 reading between 2 dates
Opening Reading: 87639 (15/06/2022)
Closing Reading: 89354 (09/08/2022)
Total 1715 kWh
1715 / 55 days = ~31.2 per day x 365 = 11381.36
Is this correct or have I missed something ?

usage is not constant throughout the year.0

Is this gas or electric, what do you use for heating? Either way you haven't made allowance fot the fact that your readings are in 2 of the months with the least usage in the year.Living the dream in the Austrian Alps.0

31 kwh of electricity per day in the summer is a lot but if you use it for heating in the winter it will be a lot more.
Where is 31 kwh a day going?0 -
This is for Electricity only - We only have Electricity heating (non-storage) but the 2 months in question we used 2 A/C units pretty much 24/7 so I believe the usage would be the same as our 2 heaters in the winterchris_n said:Is this gas or electric, what do you use for heating? Kind of impossible to get an annual usage from 2 months reads in the summer, as most of your annual usage will be used November to March with the heating on0

Air conditioning - Currently on an unlimited tariff so usage didn't matter so they were used pretty much 24/7 for the past couple of months so i think it's pretty comparable to our winter usageKrakkkers said:31 kwh of electricity per day in the summer is a lot but if you use it for heating in the winter it will be a lot more.

Just take 2 meter readings 12 months apart.
Do you use heat with electricity or use oil, LP or wood?
Is this even a domestic contract or business?0 -
An unlimited tariff? Are you absolutely sure about that?1
