Sainsbury Credit Card and Direct Debit

I've set up a DD so that I can pay my Sainsburys Credit Card bill without thinking about it.
However I've now received the first statement and they only intend to take the minimum payment rather than the full amount. Have I missed something or is this just a way to get interest on an outstanding bill?

How do I get them to clear the card everytime without me having to make a separate payment?

Phone them up and tell them to do so.
Make sure that you manually pay this bill and any others that you receive that does not state that the whole amount will be collected on such a such date

funny that - I too have recently set up a DD on my new Sainsburys card, yet the first bill made no mention of it. On ringing they said that on their system it showed as DD being cancelled a few days after I set it up... Unlikely I would have done that, I suggest they're in a bit of a pickle in their DD admin...

OP they definatly do allow DDs for either minimum or full balance
