Huge Gas Usage of 32,000 kWh per year - Help !

If you have no need for hot water in the morning, just run it for a few hours in the evening. Looks like you have a pressurised hot water tank there, so leigonella will be a near zero risk. Running at 45-50°C shouldn't cause any problems. When I have need of (really) hot water during the daytime, I'll boil a kettle - This has helped to reduce my gas consumption considerably.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
Are you supplying a power station?0

Perhaps you could run your heating (radiators ON) for say 2 hours. Let us know what your gas consumption was for the 2 hours.
Also give us the number of radiators in the house.
I have a VERY OLD boiler, that uses a pilot light. I have calculated the pilot light burns about 9 KWH a day, as a reference point. We are in the process of selling our house, where the new owners will no doubt upgrade the heating system.0 -
Just did some calcs - 4 'normal' showers (300 litres) of hot water will need about 12kwh, 85% boiler efficiency = 14kwh per day so that is probably your target - plus any hot water you use for washing up etc.I think....1
