The new capped price for electricity is 52p up from 28p (with regional difference). Why do you think that is not valid for you?

as i do not have dual energy and not covered by the price cap how do they work out my energy prices as we are not covered by ofcom for heating0

I just wrote that the electricity price cap is 52p as calculated by Ofgem. So you pay 52p for each KWh the same way every body else does.
A price cap is no all you can eat, you pay a maximum unit rate, but the more electricity you use the more expensive it gets.

This winter it's highly likely that oil will be cheaper than mains gas. (If oil is less than £1.50 a litre, it will be cheaper.)Congratulations.N. Hampshire, he/him. Your heating prices are not 'worked out' by anyone. The price of heating oil is unregulated and is priced on market conditions.
For electricity, there are currently no cheaper fixes than SVT under the price cap.No free lunch, and no free laptop
